Apple Music celebrates 10 years today since its June 30, 2015 launch. To mark the occasion, Apple has announced several new initiatives, including a ‘Replay All Time’ playlist where users can see their most streamed music since joining Apple Music, plus a new top 500 countdown, an LA-based “global hub for artists,” and more.

Apple marks 10 years of Apple Music with several new announcements

Today as Apple Music turns 10, Apple has announced several ways it’s marking the occasion.

Replay All Time is a brand new playlist that offers a unique spin on the annual Apple Music Replay experience.

With Replay All Time, accessible from the Music app’s Home tab, you’ll see your top played songs from the entire duration you’ve been an Apple Music subscriber. If you joined at the start, that means you’ll see your top music from the past decade.

The new Replay All Time playlist doesn’t yet seem to be live in the Music app, but should be soon.

Apple Music Radio is also revealing the service’s overall top 500 most-streamed songs from the last 10 years.

The countdown will begin Tuesday, July 1 with 100 songs revealed each day, culminating with the top 100 most-streamed debuting on Saturday, July 5.

Apple’s full list of 500 songs will then be available in a new 10 Years of Apple Music: Top Songs playlist.

Live radio was an especially big distinguishing feature of Apple Music when it launched, and to show the continued importance of live hosted radio, Apple’s launching a new LA “global hub for artists.”

This three-story, 15,000-square-foot hub features, per Apple:

  • Two advanced radio studios with immersive Spatial Audio playback and adaptable setups for live interviews, casual chats, or impromptu performances.
  • 4,000-square-foot soundstage for live performances, multicam shoots, fan events, and screenings.
  • A dedicated Spatial Audio mixing room outfitted with a 9.2.4 PMC speaker system for next-level sound production.
  • photo and social media labedit room, and green room to support real-time content creation.
  • Private isolation booths for songwriting, podcasting, and one-on-one interviews.
  • The A-List Corridor and Archive Corridor, showcasing images and artwork of unforgettable moments from Apple Music’s past and present.

Finally, Apple Music Radio is offering special programming this week to celebrate 10 years:

Apple Music Radio will feature a week of specials and live programming, kicking off with “Don’t Be Boring: The Birth of Apple Music Radio with Zane Lowe and Ebro Darden” on June 30, from 6 to 8 a.m. PST. From the early days of launching radio on streaming, to the epic artist-led shows that defined a new era, Zane, Ebro, and special guests will reminisce about the last 10 years of Apple Music Radio. Then, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. PST, listeners can tune in to the “10 Years of Apple Music” special. This eight-hour broadcast event on Apple Music 1 will tell the stories of the greatest artist moments, exclusive releases, live events, and cultural milestones that only Apple could deliver. The day will culminate with “Live: 10 Years Of Apple Music” from 4 to 7 p.m. PST. The live broadcast, hosted by Zane and Ebro, celebrates a decade of Apple Music with a lineup of artists who have shaped the trajectory of the service.
