Summer may still be in its early weeks, but we're already feeling the heat. According to the National Weather Service, the southern United States is feeling the brunt, with temperatures hovering around 90 degrees Fahrenheit at the time of this writing. Now's a good time to get yourself an air conditioner; for its Prime Day sales event, Amazon has discounted many AC Units.
Out of everything available, I recommend the Antarctic Star 3-in-1 Portable Air Conditioner, which is currently on sale for $235, a $32 discount. I see two reasons to take advantage of this deal now: The model has received Amazon's Choice award, and this deal will only be around for a limited time.

As you can probably tell from its name, this device has a lot going on. Antarctic Star's model is a 10,000 BTU AC, capable of quickly cooling rooms up to 450 sq.ft. Not only does it function as an air conditioner, but it can also serve as a basic fan and a dehumidifier, removing up to 63 pints of moisture in a day. As anybody from the South can tell you, high humidity levels make already hot days feel worse. The unit comes with a window kit for expelling warm air outside.
What's particularly great about this portable AC unit is its quiet operation. At its loudest, the air conditioner reaches about 55 dB. Other notable features include a 24-hour timer, 360-degree universal wheels, and an easy-to-use remote control. The unit is fairly compact, measuring 11.81 x 13.49 x 27.32 inches. You can carry up and down stairs; however, be aware that it is a little heavy at 40 pounds.
So far, I've discussed the "Upgraded" model. There is another 10,000 BTU Antarctic Star unit that's a little cheaper, at $230, which has many of the same features but a slightly different design. This has an on-device display on the front. If you want to save even more money, Amazon has an 8,000 BTU Antarctic Star AC unit on sale for $210. It's not as powerful as the other, but it's still a solid machine.
