DOOM: The Dark Ages — 100% completion for chapter 11

Chapter 11: The Forsaken Plains in Doom: The Dark Ages continues the Slayer’s charge towards Ahzrak’s fortress in Hell. Previous attacks by humans on the demon prince’s lair have failed, but the Slayer comes barging in with an Atlan Mech, his fists and weapons at the ready. The gory depths of Hell have never looked so good in a Doom game, thanks to the brilliance of the id Tech engine 8.

Level 11 only has a single secret, and players can collect all available gold on the map without taking any detours. However, in order to get 100% completion of each level, make sure you complete the mission challenges for this level.

Chapter 11’s mission challenges are-

• Executing a perfect dodge 5 times
• Damaging 3 or more demons with a Holy Swarm volley
• Damaging 2 or more Titans with a single stomp

The Slayer brings the gates crashing down

Chapter 11 continues the Slayer’s forward charge in an Atlan Mech as he takes down hordes of titanic demons, breaking open the gates to Prince Ahzrak’s fortress.

Following the objectives in the chapter along with the instructions provided below, it won't be long before you can claim that sweet 100% completion tag for the eleventh level in Doom: The Dark Ages.

Secret area 1 and toy collectible

Easy to miss if you don't turn around

There are no secrets in the Atlan Mech opening section of the level. Once the Slayer exits the Mech and is standing atop its arm, don’t forget to turn around. You’ll see a secret collectible on the Atlan Mech’s shoulder.

Approach it, and you’ll get the Atlan Mech toy collectible. You can get the collectible even if you’ve climbed off the arm, so don’t worry if you saw the Sentinel Shrine and immediately rushed towards it.

Gold and a maximum armor Demonic Essence

No detours to take to put more gold in the Slayer's wallet

The gold bars and gold stacks in chapter 11 of the game aren’t hidden anywhere at all.

Once you enter the room in the Automap above, you’ll see a gold chest waiting for you right up ahead.

In the very next room, there are no enemies, but two stairways with plenty of gold bars and stacks lined up on them, just waiting for the Slayer to come and collect them.

In the room after that, you’ll fight an Agaddon Hunter who drops the maximum armor Demonic Essence for the Slayer.

Chapter 11’s mission challenges are the most important

Elusive mission challenge — executing perfect dodges

To get 100% completion for the Hellbreaker chapter, make sure you complete the three mission challenges listed above. The Elusive mission challenge is the easiest to nail.

The very first Titan you face can be cheesed by simply executing perfect dodges on his attacks five times before you land your first hit. Float like a butterfly first, and sting only once the challenge is complete.

Crushinator mission challenge — stomping 2 Titans

Next, for the Crushinator challenge, just use a stomp on the two Titans you’ll face right after the first one. They will already be lined up — all you have to do is use your stomp, and it will get them both. If not, you can try completing the challenge on the next two Titans.

Dispersion mission challenge — using Holy Swarm

Once you get the Holy Swarm shield rune in the game, you can run all the way back to the Sentinel Shrine to increase its area of effect and the number of projectiles it throws out.

This will really help you wrap up the Dispersion mission challenge very quickly.
