India's Torrent to buy controlling stake in JB Chemicals from KKR for $1.4B

Torrent Pharmaceuticals reached an agreement to acquire a controlling stake in JB Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals from private equity giant KKR (NYSE:KKR), marking another significant transaction amid India's surge in corporate dealmaking.

According to the terms announced Sunday, Torrent will purchase a
