Novavax COVID-19 vaccine approved by the FDA

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration ((FDA)) on Saturday approved the COVID-19 vaccine developed by Gaithersburg, Maryland-based biotech Novavax (NASDAQ:NVAX).

Accordingly, the protein-based shot, branded as Nuvaxovid, will be indicated in the U.S. to prevent COVID-19 in those aged 65 years and older.
