Razer packs powerful gaming hardware into a super-thin case with the Blade 14

As the Nvidia GeForce RTX 50 series GPU begins appearing in pre-built devices, we're seeing a lot of gaming devices putting the hardware to good use. However, it takes something special to somehow fit all of that new, cutting-edge technology into a super-thin shell. Just because a laptop is mighty, doesn't mean it has to weigh like a brick, and share its width too.

Fortunately, Razer is here to show everyone that gamers don't need to lug around hefty equipment when they're on the go. Razer's new laptop, the Blade 14, packs a ton of powerful hardware into a super-thin shell and is really light to boot.

Razer reveals the Blade 14 and Blade 16 for gamers who want it all

In an emailed press release, Razer broke down both the Blade 14 and Blade 16. The Blade 14 packs up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU, an AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 processor under the hood, a 3K 120 Hz OLED, and a 72-hour battery. However, its main highlight for me is how thin this laptop is:

Pushing the envelope of innovation, the new Blade 14 measures 15.7 mm at its slimmest point, making it the thinnest 14-inch laptop from Razer as well as the lightest, at 1.63 kg for effortless mobility. While thinner than ever, the Blade 14 features a new Thermal Hood design that provides ample ventilation and additional thermal headroom for maximum operating performance.

Razer also confirmed adding a new configuration to its existing wider model, the Blade 16. This new option combines the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 laptop GPU with an AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 processor, a 240 Hz OLED display, and 32 GB of RAM. So, if you prefer a 16-inch screen over a 14-inch one, that's your best bet.
