Grand Theft Auto VI is set to have one of the biggest maps the series has ever seen. And in expected Rockstar fashion, they’re filling this massive open world with a ton of fun and interesting activities for players to do. While there has been speculation that we may be able to scuba dive or participate in dirt bike races. These are the side activities that Rockstar has confirmed are in the game at this point.
5 Working out / Fighting
Lifting weights and boxing

GTA VI’s promotional trailers clearly show both Jason and Lucia exercising. Jason lifts weights on the beach, and Lucia spars with a punching bag in a gym. While working out hasn't been specifically confirmed, the devs have said that fighting will play a big role and descriptions related to Lucia confirm that she is a trained fighter.
Working out is not a new mechanic for the series. In GTA: San Andreas, the player's “fitness level” was a fairly important skill that would give the player benefits like better cardio and speed. Players hope this time around, the mechanic will offer more diverse activities, like running, deadlifting, and sparring, preferably with unique mechanics, not just cutscenes. This will hopefully affect the speed and strength of the characters and their appearance.
4 Fishing
From the coast to the bayou
After screenshots showing Jason casting a fishing rod near Mount Kalaga, fans are excited to get a Red Dead Redemption II-style fishing mechanic in GTA VI. And Rockstar has now officially confirmed that fishing will be in the game. While it is not actively confirmed, we can speculate that you will be able to fish using kayaks and boats along the coast and throughout the bayou.
These side activities are great because they allow players to do something peaceful in a GTA game. Other press images have shown vibrant coral reefs and marshy wetlands. We can only hope that we will be able to fish anywhere we like, but it is entirely possible that we may be tied to specific locations in order to fish.

While you're waiting for GTA 6 to release, here are some open-world games that you should play to pass the time!
3 Mini-golf
Mini-golf is back!

Mini-golf was a side activity in both GTA San Andreas and GTA IV, but in GTA V, golf was a more prominent side activity. Golf was a hit or miss with fans of the GTA series, so it's good to see that GTA VI has confirmed that mini-golf will make a big return to the series.
From the screenshots we've seen, the courses will all have unique and interesting designs that gamers are sure to love. While Rockstar hasn't confirmed that they are planning to add golf to the game, it is likely to still make an appearance.
2 Pool (Billiards)
And other bar games
There have been multiple new press releases from Rockstar showing the massive clubbing scene in Vice City. There has been speculation that going to clubs or clubbing could be a side activity itself. However, there are other things that you can do at clubs and bars, like play pool. Rockstar has confirmed that you will be able to play pool in most of the bars you visit, as well as a few other bar games, like darts and, obviously, drinking.

There are a myriad of incredible mods for GTA V, but here's a list of the ones that significantly changed the way I cruised the streets of Los Santos.
1 Hunting
The Hunter in GTA
Rockstar has confirmed hunting to be a side activity in Mount Kalaga National Park on its website and in trailer materials. From the same publisher as Red Dead Redemption, you can expect to track animals by markings or trails in forest or wetland environments, as well as an array of challenges for hunting different kinds of game. This side activity will probably go hand in hand with fishing, but hopefully, these side activities will be in normal gameplay rather than being a specific event on the map.
With the sheer number of weapons in the GTA series and Ammu-Nation just around the corner, there should be no shortage of guns or crossbows to use. But fans are hoping that they will include the pelt quality system from RDR2, forcing players to hunt using the right gear to get the best quality hide.
There's more than just chaos in Vice City
Rockstar is truly building GTA VI into one of the most interactive sandbox games ever created. Meanwhile, the GTA formula thrives on chaos, wanted levels, and heists. It's good to see Rockstar putting the same kind of attention into making the world feel more alive.
