Docker Desktop will let you run AI models on your shiny new Snapdragon X device

With so many announcements being made on a daily basis, we have keyboards firing on all cylinders to keep up with the incoming news. Now, we've caught wind of the fact that Docker Desktop will allow people to run AI models on their Snapdragon X chip, which is huge news for people who want to run their own agents on their local NPUs.

Docker Desktop will allow Snapdragon X chips to run AI agents

We've just received a photo from Computex showing off what Docker has planned for its Desktop app. The main spotlight is Docker support for Windows on Arm, letting people on Snapdragon X devices run Docker Desktop natively.

This includes a few cool benefits, such as making life a lot easier for people who want to develop using the ARM architecture. However, the second point on the above photo has this interesting tidbit:

Run models on Snapdragon X series.

This is pretty awesome news for people who want to tap into the power of their Snapdragon X's NPU with Docker Desktop's Model Runner. After all, Snapdragon devices are what make Copilot+ devices do what they do best, so allowing people to harness that power for themselves seems like a smart move for Docker.
