Today, Apple officially unveiled watchOS 26, alongside iOS 26, iPadOS 26, tvOS 25, visionOS 26 and macOS Tahoe 26. Wondering if your Apple Watch will run the new system? Here’s the full compatibility list.
Alongside the rest of the renamed OS lineup, watchOS 26 brings a refreshed look, a new smart fitness experience called Workout Buddy, and an easier way to manage notifications.
Here’s the full list of models that will be able to run watchOS 26:
- Apple Watch SE (2nd generation)
- Apple Watch Series 6
- Apple Watch Series 7
- Apple Watch Series 8
- Apple Watch Series 9
- Apple Watch Series 10
- Apple Watch Ultra
- Apple Watch Ultra 2
watchOS 26 requires iPhone 11 or later, running iOS 26. This means it dropped support for iPhone X and iPhone SE (2nd generation) for minimum requirements.
As with past updates, if you’ve got an older Apple Watch that made the cut, certain features may not be available.
