For years, Google Drive was my go-to cloud solution for everything — work documents, personal files, family photos, you name it. What you don't get (and why it's fine)

It's not a Google Drive clone

Filen doesn't offer real-time collaborative editing like Google Docs, although you can integrate external tools if necessary. Initially, some users may find encrypted share links slightly confusing, requiring brief explanations.

Additionally, there are no built-in calendars or integrations with big tech services. However, these trade-offs are acceptable and even preferable, given the enhanced privacy and security that Filen offers.
