WWDC25 ends today, did it meet your expectations?

3 weeks ago 1

Today marks the last day of WWDC25 and, with just a few sessions left on the schedule, it’s fair to say that most of what we should expect from Apple is already out there. Now that the announcements have landed, the betas are seeded, and the keynote headlines have made their rounds, we want to know: how are you feeling?

The diciest WWDC in recent memory

It is fair to say that the wider Apple-engaged audience went into this WWDC with mixed feelings, caught between the underwhelming rollout of Apple Intelligence and the (potentially) exciting prospect of a sweeping cross-platform UI redesign and naming refresh.

And while most of us went into it with a pretty good idea of what to expect from the technical and features fronts, the real suspense came from something else entirely: would Apple address its recent AI stumbles, its increasingly tense relationship with the developer community, or its mounting legal challenges around the world?

Some expected the usual denial-adjacent silence. Others, more hopeful, anticipated some kind of gesture: reforms to App Store commissions, meaningful revisions to long-criticized rules, or at least an acknowledgement of the overall growing developer frustrations, with a nod at a future change.

Pros ans cons

In the end, Apple did offer a passing comment on the Siri fumble, but that was about it. Perhaps more telling was what didn’t happen: there was no attempt to revive the familiar “we love developers” narrative, nor to double down its more recent “here’s everything we do for you” spiel, which many have pointed out as passive-aggressive and tone deaf.

Still, this WWDC did bring in welcome news. Liquid Glass shows promise, the iPad finally checked off major items in many users’ wishlists, and Apple’s Foundation Models framework might just be this year’s most consequential announcement. For better or for worse, Apple kept this year’s tone largely upbeat, with the usual tongue-in-cheek jokes, and the focus firmly on its technical roadmap.

So now that the dust is settling, we want to hear from you: how are you feeling now that WWDC25 is behind us? Did the new features excite you? Were you hoping for a different tone and attitude? Both? Neither? Let us know in the comments.
